First cold of the season and upcoming surgery...

Dang, I am starting to feel a cold coming on and surgery should be in about a month. Has anyone experienced a cold near their surgery date? Do they postpone it?

Your cold should be long gone before surgery if it's a month away. If it were a couple of days from surgery, you'd want to talk to the surgeon's staff to make the best decision. The worst thing would be that they would have to reschedule.

Yeah, you should be totally fine by your surgery date.
My advice to anyone though... DO NOT HAVE SURGERY IF YOU FEEL EVEN SLIGHTLY SICK. Tell your surgeon.
I made the mistake of "lying" to a surgeon for a surgery I was having (had a tumor removed from inside my bone). I told them I was just getting over a cold when I was just getting one because I really wanted the surgery over with. OMG I got REALLY really really sick and was so miserable. The cold got worse then it would've and my healing time got all messed up. It was the worst feeling I've ever had. I can't imagine being like that for this type of surgery.
