I think it's pretty normal to hit a plateau around 3-4 weeks post-op. Your body needs some time to catch up with the weight loss, and it's also around the same time as introducing food back in, so, there is a lot going on! ;)

thanks!  i was wondering if that's what was happening...it's just that i was losing so much the first few weeks after and now it's just staying the same after about 37lbs.  any other tips you all may have about going back to eating normal foods again?  i'm starting that phase this coming week...i just don't want to be jeopardizing losing the weight i should be losing because i'm eating the wrong things now.  with liquids and softs it was easier as there was less of an option to choose from.

Just stick with your surgeon's food plan. It will work, even if it's different from everyone else on here.

I had surgery on August 14th, and finding I'm hitting a plateau right now. No big wiggle, though. It will move soon. ;)

I stalled at about that time frame for about 10 days.

Surgery weight:  232 lbs. / Goal: 145 lbs. Height:  5'5"     Fat? Ain't nobody got time for that.

i had RNY on 7/3/12 and lost 31 the 1st month and this month only 13. I hit a huge plateau that lasted 3 weeks. They say it is very normal. The scale will move. The funny thing about it is that I see that I lost more inches than weight. Boobies are looking like something from national geographic YIKES lol

lol..ty for the emotional uplift...i just got discouraged pretty fast..especially after losing so much so fast in 3 weeks and then go to over a week being the same weight...i appreciate the encouraging words...i'm starting my last phase this week and going to "normal food" again..kinda scared to attempt that feat..hopefully i don't slip back into bad habits...i have PCOS so this was a life saving surgery for me and i can't thank God enuff for allowing me to get it!  FINALLY!

This is the exact time I hit a stall too.  You'll start losing again soon.
