You can do it Sherrie. I know you can! Liquid diet. The protein will help keep you feeling full and hey, may help with some extra energy for the 5k. You are just going to start your journey a few weeks earlier then you planned. You sound like a go getter and I know you will tackle this with no problem. I'm rooting for ya!

You could try putting yourself on a liquid diet.  I drank Strawberry flavored "Lean Muscle Milk" one bottle for breakfast and one for dinner.  I also had the option of having one small apple, OR one serving of grape tomatoes each day.  It's very hard to do, but I did lose 13 pounds in the first four days of the diet.

You need to do a no-carb diet and low calories. I was on 1100 calories, working out 4 days a week (think 500-600 calories each workout) and drink LOTS of water.

I'll be honest your body will freak the few days at low carb/no carb diet but it will work.  I also replaced 2 meals with protein shakes right before my weigh in.

Another body builder's do before a weight in is not drink any fluids the day before a weight in. Do not drink anything prior to 10 am the day before you need to be weighed.  If you are worried about a few extra pd**** the sauna and get out your water weight.

It's possible but you LITERALLY are going to have to work the hardest you have ever in your life and you might feel a little crappy.

Just food for thought it takes 3500 calories burned/not eaten to lose/gain 1 lb of fat.  I was on a low carb diet prior to my surgery for a month and lost another 17 lbs while on it.

If you need any idea's of what foods to eat let me know. :) GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD LUCK!

I would love to know what your diet is. I still have a couple month till surgery but was told to lose 5 or more pounds by the 24th and 3-4 or more by 23rd of October. I had gained 7 pounds from quitting smoking at last appointment

My doctor wanted me to eat only protein for breakfast and then do shakes for the rest of my meals.  Good luck sweetie, keep us posted!
