Well, I can cross off crockpot pot roast...
EDIT: I've been on a regular diet for two weeks now. That's just how my plan is set up.
Pork and beef cuts of meat tend to be difficult for most post ops to digest easily. Ground beef is likely a better choice. I like ground bison, using half a patty and a slice of whole wheat brea for a mini burger. That digested fine for me. But even to this day, 6+ years post op, steaks, roasts, pork roasts tend to still give me issues. I keep some papaya enzyme on hand, and usually resort to chewing 4 or 5 of them within 15 minutes of beef or pork dinners. Crock pots is a good choice to initially try beef or pork, but your system likely just isn't ready to digest them well. Small bites, chew the heck out of it, and hope your pouch can handle it--when the time comes to try it again. My surgeon kept cuts of beef and pork off his patients menu until 5+ months post op. DAVE

I agree with the other poster, for me pork roast is easier.
