9 months post op w/pics and a question about "goal" weight
Hey Everyone..yesterday was 9 months post op for me and I wanted to post a picture and share my progress. I really appreciate all of the wonderful support and comments I get from each of you. I'm starting to get a lot of people saying "you are done losing right" or "you can't afford to lose another 10 lbs" but I do my best to ignore them and just keep on with my new lifestyle. I weighed in at 148 lbs yesterday morning my HW was 280 and my SW was 267. Here is a break down of my loss by month. Month 1 -27lbs; 2 -13lbs; 3 -16lbs; 4 -14lbs; 5 -12.5lbs; 6 -9.5lbs; 7 -6.5lbs; 8-12.5lbs; 9 -7lbs.
My question is that..I randomly picked 145 as my goal weight and I'm pretty close to it at only 9 months post op. I wouldn't mind losing another 10 or 15 lbs and I see that as a possibility since I'm still within the 'honeymoon' phase. I have read the posts about your body deciding when its done losiing etc but my husband is wondering if I'm going to end up losing too much since I'm still so early out? What are your thoughts and opinions about this.

Before pic..I was 5 months pregnant in this pic..but really it was all me..not all baby..lol

You look beautiful in both pics!!! You've done an awesome job
I picked an arbitrary number for my goal...based slightly on the ever-so-famous height & weight charts...I am going to try to make it as close to goal as possible even below...just to buffer any weight gain that may occur. My goal and my doctor's goal were to get myself to the healthy end of the BMI charts and healthy daily living choices. My before choices were what got me to a high of 327, and I do want to get to my goal number, but I've come to realize it is just a number...the lifestyle changes are what's driving me to my happy place
I think your body and your doctor will tell you where your lower limit is...

You should be very proud of yourself my dear. You look wonderful and exude confidence. I too have read that the body will stop when it has gone to its natural weight. However I have seen posts from people who have gone underweight. Its really up to you and your doctor to decide what is healthy for you. Congrats!
