Wheat intolerance

Do any of you have a wheat intolerance or celiac disease that have had RNY?  I have found that wheat causes joint inflammation for me, so I have cut it out of my diet.  Just wondering if anyone has done the same thing with surgery.  I have not had my surgery as of yet.  I have my sleep study next Thursday night and then will get scheduled for surgery, so likely it will be in November.

I have a lot of food allergies, wheat & gluten being two. Didnt affect my surgery at all. I still just avoid things I'm allergic to and do fine.

I had some regain and severe RH ..that started app 2 years from RNY. This year I decided I need to remove most startch carbs from my diet: any grains, starchy veggies... even fruits.  Once I did that - my RH (reactive hypoglycemia) is under control.  You can live and live well post op RNY with no wheat or any gluten.  Heck - even most starches... and sugary foods.

I have a wheat allergy, unfortunately I'm not 100% great at avoiding wheat.  I certainly could, it wouldn't be too hard with the post-surgical plan (in fact, probably it's easier after surgery).  I keep meaning to, but it's ah-maze-ing what kinds of foods contain wheat that you would never imagine.

Thanks guys.  I was worried that at some point it would be difficult to do.  I haven't met with a nutritionist, so I don't know exactly how their progression moves along yet.
