Center of my left thigh!! I have it so bad I have been to the chiropractor, massage, physical therapy, and pain management. I have had an injection in L3-4 about 3 weeks ago and will have another in L2-3 this week. My MRI show moderate impingement of the nerves at the above mentioned disks. I really hope this injection helps as the numbness is painful as well.
I take Nucynta (new) for pain and it works great! There is an extended release that would have worked better but unfortunately that isn't going to work for me now, lol!

I would rule out all the scary stuff by seeing my doctor and then scoot myself over to the chiropractor and maybe ask for a referral to a PT.  Someone gave me a youtube video to a yoga pose once but the best treatment I found was to massage my own rear end with a tennis ball.  Don't laugh at me!  It hurts so good.

The inflammation is a bugger, I know and we get stuck not being able to treat with NSAIDS on top of that.  I love Fish Oil for inflammation and you can talk to your doctor for dosage of that.  It takes awhile to kick in so there is no shame in asking for a little medication until the other forms of treatment come through.

Mine got a million times better when I started running.  I know it sounds crazy but it really does help.
