18 months out (pics)
On October 6th I was 18 months out from having my RNY... I absolutely love my decision to have this done for myself and my family... The quality of life is much better for us all... I enjoy going and doing things I never thought I would... We hike mountains, go to fairs/amusement parks, and even have joined the YMCA... the whole family... yay... I have only 2 regrets... I wish I had done it years ago when I first began researching it and I wish I had worked out from the beginning... I would occassionally go to Zumba or walk but I wish I had really worked out early on... I feel like my excess skin wouldn't be quite as bad/noticable if I had... with that being said I have a plastics appt set for October 17th... I'm sooo excited... although my hubby insist not to be that it's only a consult for "pricing" but I can't wait to see if it's possible.... I know it's in my future now only to get the hubby on board... lol... I went on my 3rd cruise of the year the last week of September for my bestie's 40th birthday and it was a blast... I am happy to say I didn't gain a single pound... I didn't lose one either but I am okay with that... I think the key to not gaining on a cruise is to always use the stairs (quicker too) and to go to the dance club every night... haha... I danced like I was some kind of hip hop star and why not... I will never see those folks again... anywho my 18 month stats are 137lbs lost leaving me weighing in at 132... thats from 269... I'll take that... and a size 4 jeans and xs/s shirts... woohoo!... I am one happy girl who loves her RNY :)

WOW!!! You look amazing to say the least! I had my heart set on and have been doing so much research on VSG and just found out my insurance won't cover it so my only choice is to have RNY. I'm starting my research over, but to see you pics and see what a success you are, really inspires me. Thank you!!

My insurance also doesn't cover the vertical sleeve (which was my 1st choice) but it cover the Rny and band. I researched both surgeries and decided that the Rny was the right one for me. My date is scheduled for November 27. I am struggle to loose the 9 pounds the doctor want me to before surgery. I have faith I can so it before that date. This website provided good information.
