I was wondering if anyone else has had trouble with I'll call them Hot Flashes for lack of a better name. Within an hour of eating I get hot all over and sometimes break out in a sweat. Today it happened after eating grilled chicken and vegies. Any ideas? Suggestions are welcome Thank you!

I get them all the time, but usually only after eating something I shouldn't.  I'm actually in the middle of one right now.  I'm at work and they had a retirement party for someone in the office and I ate a small bite of cake and half of a pastry.  I knew I shouldn't have, but did anyway, and now I'm so hot & sweaty but I can't strip here in the office!  LOL

I've never had it from healthy food - but some things that are overly processed and sugary my body will react that way.  Maybe you ate to fast?

Sounds like you over did it or you ate something you shouldn't  I get that too.  I usually lie down in front of a fan for about 20 mins then it passes.

Grilled chicken--was there bbq sauce on it? If so, sugar in the sauce may be the issue. Hot feeling, anxiety, rapid heart beat, sweating were the feelings I got when I at some of the "nono foods--and it was dumping for sure. DAVE

Definitely sugars. Must have been hidden for you.  Know what's in your food dear.  I keep some Papaya enzyme with me and chew a couple of those if that happens..it helps in making it go away faster.  Hope this helps.

Thank you everyone! Looks like I better start paying more attention to what I am eating and getting back to basics! Thanks again!

This happens to me all the time.. pretty much daily.. I am 5 months out and it is just something I have learned to accept as normal for me.  It will probably subside eventually but right now, just normal!  LOL

Since WLS, I can feel my body heating up after eating. It makes no difference what type of food I've eaten. It starts about 10-15 minutes after eating and lasts about 30 minutes. I've attributed it to being hypersensitive. It does get old, however.
