I experienced the same thing for a few months after my surgery. It didn't matter if what I ate was healthy or not. I couldn't figure out why I was getting hot after I ate but it did go away . I am now 10 months out and no longer get those hot flashes.
Did you get your gallbladder out with the surgery? I actually had this pre-surgery, and had no idea why. When my surgeon took my gallbladder out she said it was one of the biggest ones she'd seen and solid gallstones. I think it was due to that. Just an idea....
