For women post surgery - infection?

If you do the monistat make sure its the 7 day...my doctor explained anything short of that usually wont do the job.

Yeast infections are incredibly common after taking antibiotics. I had a bad time right after surgery with them. Call your doc and have them give you diflucan I believe its called...I was able to take that with no issues postop. Since getting rid of it I take probiotics daily now and if you ever have to take antibiotics again...make sure you take a probiotic, eat yogurt with active cultures they really do help prevent getting yeast infections.

I would call and ask your surgeon.  I'm sure you had a foley in during the surgery and you could have an infection in your urethra from that or like some of the other folks have said, it could be a yeast infection from the antibiotics.  I used to get them all the time, no discharge or odor, but a painful burning that felt like a cat used my genitals as a scratch post, lol.
