OT: Let me tell you about my mother-in-law.

Thank you all so much for the kind thoughts and words. Writing about her makes me smile and remember all of the fun things (and not the difficult last few weeks) we did together as a family. It also reminds me to be grateful that she got to be at the wedding while she was still well enough to enjoy it.

Very nice memorial to her. I still love my mother-in-law though shes been gone for over 9 years now. She treated me like a daughter and I always had respect for her. I'm sorry your family had to lose her so soon. God be with you all.

The loss of a parent, even if an inlaw is one you never really get over. Just cherish all the good times you had with them and keep them in your heart. They will live on there there rest of your life.

What a beautiful piece about a beautiful woman.  I'm so very sorry for your loss.  This is timely to me as my mother-in-law was just diagnosed with stage IV cancer.  She hasn't begun chemo yet, but I my husband and I are aware of how difficult the coming months will be.  We haven't had the beautiful relationship you have, but it has its very good parts.  I hope to be able to look past the bad ones and come to a place where I can be the support I know she needs right now.

I wish you and your husband peace as you deal with this devestating blow.

Best of luck to your mother-in-law as she begins treatment. It's not an easy road, but you will all pull through. The most important thing my husband and I learned in all of this is to take a step back when we would start arguing. We'd have to ask, "Am I really mad about the dishes or am I so mad at cancer I can't see straight?" It's a lot of up and down, but supporting one another makes going through everything easier.

Thanks again to everyone for your kind words and compliments.
