No my husband didn't do it on purpose.  He wants this for me almost as much as I want it for myself.  He feels terrible that it slipped his mind.  I am fighting with the insurance company and have made many calls to them already.  They have sent it to a committee to possibly be overturned.  Hopefully it will go through.  But, I actually did get some good news that my policy renews the first of the year and I will have an opportunity to change it then.  So fingers crossed that everything goes through now, but at least it won't be the end of the world if it does not.  The thing was, I was supposed to get my CPAP machine this week, and then I would finally be scheduled for surgery.  I can't get the CPAP machine with a high deductible and only 50% coverage.  I would be paying it all out of pocket at that point on top of lower coverage for the surgery itself.  So if everyone could send some good thoughts my way, I sure would appreciate it.

Can you set up payment plans for your machine? I couldn't pay for mine all up front because I just started a new job and didn't have any of my deductible paid...so they just set me up on a payment plan. I paid $90 to get the machine and will pay on it till next year to pay it off. You should check and see if that is an option. :) Thinking good thoughts for you...these roadblocks in the way are just temporary! :)

This opportunity usually comes once a year, to make changes to your policy, such as deductibles and co-pays and rates.

So you can make the change next October, and just plan well so you can be ready then.
