Nice Morning NSV!
I used to stop and a convenience store quite often prior to surgery, I would buy my teas I liked to drink and many times a snack or two. Well living in a very small town, when you stop at stores like this often you see the same people that stop there daily as well. But I very rarely stop in there anymore since surgery (maybe once a week to pick up a bottle of water either in the morning before work or in the evening before the gym). This morning I stopped to get a bottle of water and one of the regular morning customers held the door open for me and he said to me "what have you been doing lady? You have lost so much weight, why?" Well since I don't really know this man and have only been a person in passing I wasn't going to give details of my WLS, so I said "Well thank you, and as to why I answered because I want to" He then asked how much I have lost and this I don't mind sharing so I told him....He smiled and said congrats, then when we were both in line he kept looking over at me like he couldn't believe I was the same person! I wonder what looks I will get when I get closer to my goal? Afterall I still have a way to go.
It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. It requires sacrifice. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's WORTH IT! (Author Unknown). I feel this sums up my ongoing journey to a healthier me!
