I think it's a great idea.  Some people that haven't had WLS might not really understand, but I think those that really care about and support you will be happy to celebrate with you.  And I think it's really important to celebrate our victories and focus on the positive stuff in our lives.

A party could be really fun.  You could serve some really delicious, WLS-friendly foods (check out bariatricfoodie.com and theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com for ideas and recipes), and maybe you could do something active, like going bowling or dancing or swimming or something.  Or do something else, whatever feels meaningful to you.  Let us know what you decide.

It's a great idea, and totally appropriate! I plan to throw a party when I've lost 100 pounds or when I reach my first big goal. Or both!

I think this is a great idea and your close friends and family will love the idea of celebrating your success with you!

Plus the world is ending on the 21st so it's good to get some partying in before then. kiss
