I am 3 weeks post op and just went to my 3 wk office visist. But i forgot to mention something to my surgeon. I have a little lump/knot under my main incision on the left side and i am praying its just scar tissue. However my surgeon is 2 hours in a half away. It doesn't hurt and my next appt is in six weeks. Did anyone else deal with this?????

I have a little lump/ knot under a couple of my incision sites.  As  long as you don't have any fever or signs of infection,  I would assume it is scar tissue.

I asked my surgeon about the same issue and I was told it was just scar tissue (stitches under the skin). It is practically undetectable at this time - I am 5 1/2 months out.

I use Mederma on my incisions and it has helped. You have to be sure there are no open wounds and then apply daily. I am very  pleased with the product. Walgreens has a tube of it for over $20 but Walmart has a smaller one for under $20.

i could be a keliod scar. i have some of those. your scars just stick out more and have denser tissue in them. they dont hurt but are mainly just an ugly site. on the other hand if you have any questions dont ever hesitate to call your dr, there is no such thing as a stupid questoin.
