My date is the 28th and I am on my fourth day of the liquid diet.  Right now I fell like I am taking it minute by minute.  I am struggling with my family and Christmas.  I want to sit this one out as I am not sure I can just say no but they apparently can't see that.  Good luck and I will just be a day behind.

You just have to do what you have to do.

My surgery is the day after Christmas, so I will be on the clear liquid diet on Christmas Day, not even the Full Liquid Diet with Protein Shakes lol. I'm debating right now whether I will just stay home and keep my day off or if I want to tell my job I will work Christmas Day and Christmas Eve and take that double time! I'm leaning towards sitting Christmas out as well, and working, that extra money is looking better and better and working might keep my mind off of my surgery being the next day, and only being able to have clear liquids.

Good Luck with your big day!

You might want to rethink working if your surgeon has you doing any kind of bowel prep.  I know when I had my hysterectomy, I couldn't be very far from the bathroom the whole day long.

I agree about rethinking that.  I have to drink magnesium ????? and have been told to drink in the morning or I won't be over the worst of it in time to go to sleep that night.  Also it starts within 30 minutes and you can't hardly be out of the bathroom little lone out of your home.  Let me know how things go.

Yeah I just read my Clear Liquid paperwork and it does say I need to take 3 tsp of milk of magnesia in the a.m before noon. I work from home but maybe I will just work Monday and not Tuesday.

It has been hard for me.. I am actually sitting in the hospital room with my wife who just had the sleeve and the nurses keep telling  her she will do fine, the bypass is worse pain wise. They have no idea I will be their patient on the 26th for a bypass. This is making me more nervous than I already am!!!
