Feel like there is a lump in my throat

I had my surgery on Wednesday.  I am still at the hospital, hopefully I get to go home today.  I can still only keep liquids down and I keep getting this sensation like I have a lump in my throat.  Has anyone else experienced this?

It will take some time but It's trapped gas. you will feel like you could just poot so loud but nothing comes out. keep moving and moving and moving. take your gas x and what ever your Dr gives you for the gas.

As for the lump- are you on an acid reducer med like prilosec.  That is the symptom I had when I would forget to take my prilosec.  FYI I dont take it any more.  Just for 2 mths post op.  Best wishes sent your way for a speedy recovery.

I had that too and it lasted for weeks...I mentioned it to my primary care dr who then referred me to an ent...but in my labs she took it showed I had a uti infection so she started me on antibiotics and then the feeling disappeared... so I never needed the ent appt..I also had thrush too so maybe it was in my throat..but between the antibiotics and the thrush meds it went away.  Good luck!!!

I had it too.  It has a name, but I can't remember it.  It went away after a week or so.  There's actually nothing there and it's not cause for concern.
