Repost: So, you think you are losing too slowly?
I am sure many people have higher expectations. But to me, that is more of a "WLS is a fix" mindset that brings disappointment based on expectations. It is a tool and should be used appropriately.
Try not to weigh yourself so much. Maybe just once a month. Instead take weekly photos and measurements. Keep a log of your NSVs so when you feel disappointed, you can look back and recognize how far you have come.
You know it's only been 2 months since your surgery. Your window is about a year, and for many up to 2 years to lose. And slow loss is usually easier to keep off.
I'm over 7 years out, and I lost pretty slowly. It took about a year to lose 100 pounds, and slowly through the second year I lost another 30 or so. Ultimately I lost 144 total.
For me, paying close attention to what I was eating early on helped me later when I didn't have as much restriction. I still don't drink with meals, I still eat high protein first, and then the best tasting veggies i can get. The hardest thing for me si to resist bread, so I just don't have it in my house very often. Same with white rice and potatoes.Something about eating them makes me what more!
Best wishes on your journey.
