Homemade High Protein Pineapple "Julius"
This is one of my favorite protein treats lately:
1 1/2 c. water
1 packet Health Wise Pineapple Protein Drink Mix
1/2 scoop vanilla egg white protein powder (I use Jay Robb)
1 c. frozen pineapple tidbits (I used Trader Joe's brand)
Blend together in a blender. Add a little more water if you want it thinner, a little ice if you want it thicker. The stats for the whole thing are as follows (based on my recipe at myfitnesspal): calories 223, carbs 27, fat 0, protein 28. I usually have 3/4 of it and give my hubby the other 1/4 of it...I find myself full on the 3/4 serving. I've also had half at one time, put the leftover in the fridge and then had the other half later, reblended with a little more ice.
Thanks for sharing. Protein drinks still remain my least favorite for the day.
