Habit VS Hunger

I didn't have a pre-surgical liquid diet, but I was on a 2 week lowfat, "liver shrinking" diet.  It wasn't horrible, but I didn't stick with it as I should have.
I STILL have post op head hunger.  There are days that I am hungry all the time.  Other days, I can eat as scheduled, drink hot drinks in between, and be fine.  But, on the hungry days, I truly struggle.  Also, as I prepare food for my husband and daughter, I miss the serving sizes that I ate prior to surgery.
Some foods truly do satisfy me, but others just seem to be a waste of time...like cottage cheese, plain Greek yogurt, oatmeal, and other slider foods.  I get a taste for one of them, eat them and then I'm still hungry and get frustrated for what I consider to be useless calories.  If I add a bit of dry SF pudding mix to the yogurt, it seems to be more filling and satisfies hunger for longer.

I only had to do a 2 day liquid diet.  I suffer from head hunger on occasion , especially if I see something that seems good or I have a craving.  My head hunger is never for sweets or snacks, usually real food. If I can work it in I do otherwise I say no.
