Birth Control

I got the Mirena IUD and I love it.  It's so nice not to have to take another pill every day.  I have never given birth, so the "installation" of it was pretty painful, but I'm glad I did it.  You don't have to worry about pill absorption or getting a shot.  You don't have worry about anything!  It's good for five years but you can get it taken out earlier if you want to start having kids.

It is expensive, though.

My doc warned me of taking the pill because of absorption.  I got the Mirena IUD and LOVE it.  I will get it again after we have a child (hoping to TTC this Fall).

I didn't want to do Depo because I have heard it's harder to get preggo after.  (i.e. takes more time for you to get regular etc).

I was also told that Birth Control Pills won't be effective after surgery.  Scheduled to get the Mirena IUD after surgery.

My surgeon also disallows birth control pills due to absorption. I am on the nuvaring and like it a lot.
