Pre-Op Blood Panel

Do you remember the specific things they are checking in the pre-op blood panel?

All I remember is that, on top of all of the vitamin levels, they also ran panels for liver, kidney and bladder and blood cell counts.

Here is what my  pre-op blood panel consisted of:  white and red blood cell counts, kidney function, liver function, and finally the vitamin levels like B12, folate, B1, Vitamin D.  

The results showed my liver enzymes  (ALT) were mildly elevated, but the liver biopsy performed during RNY surgery came out okay.  I also was low on Vitamin D which is common for us Minnesotans.  

Mine also included a thyroid check and the surgery was canceled due to it being so incredibly far off.  It will be rescheduled when it gets back in the right range.
