An Easy Warm Protein Drink

I have started to get sick of my protein drinks in the last few weeks.  Not really surprising since I have been drinking at least 2 of them a day for over 2 1/2 years.  I usually would have a protein coffee for breakfast and some other protein drink in the evening but I got to where I couldn't even look at them.  I made myself drink at least one a day because I don't get enough protein in with food but that was all I could manage.

I just use the Body Fortress brand.  I really can't afford anything else and of the ones I have tried it really doesn't make a big difference.

So anyway, I was wanting hot chocolate the other day so I thought I would try just warming up some milk and mixing it with a scoop of chocolate protein powder.  It was tolerable but then I remembered that I had some sugar free Peppermint Mocha creamer and I added that and I was thrilled.  Unfortunately, the sugar free Peppermint Mocha is a seasonal thing so I couldn't find it any more.  I really don't care for the Hazelnut and other sugar free flavors they have but then I saw a new flavor, sugar free Sweet Italian Cream.  I mixed that in my hot protein drink and it was delicious.  Last night I noticed I was getting low on chocolate powder so I mixed up some vanilla with warm milk and added the creamer.  It is so good I may even have 3 drinks a day.

I also made some of the warm chocolate protein drink, added a cup of coffee and some creamer and it was a protein coffee that I can tolerate again.

I do this all the time - the milk with chocolate protein powder.  It is the only way I can gag down protein powders.  Love this option!

My friend introduced me to her favorite the other day. She puts a scoop of vanilla protein in her morning coffee, then dropped a sugar free Werther's candy in to melt. Oh, my! LOVED it!

Thanks LT! I did not know they had the sweet italian cream in sf. Now I will have to look for it at Winco.

I found it at Walmart.  I am so glad they came out with another sugar free flavor.  I wish they had more choices.

I drank Click for years and always felt like a mad scientist. First the blender bottle and shake vigorously after adding sugar free caramel syrup. After that strain it into a large plastic cup to microwave it and then (finally) into my big ass mug for drinking.

Big Ass Mug with my fresh lip marks

Because it left such a residue in the mug and sipper top I had to soak both in soapy water to get rid of the sludge that was left.

I quit the Click and now drink Big Train Fit Frappe Espresso with sf caramel and no longer have to strain and soak. This has better stats AND it is cheaper to buy! Yumm!!

I use the DaVinci sugar free syrups.  They have a large variety of sugar free flavors, white chocolate, peppermint, french vanilla and Kahlua flavored are some of my favorites.  I make a non alcoholic White Russian w/ 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, 1 oz sf white chocolate syrup, 1 oz sf Kahlua syrup 1 cup of lowfat milk and 1/2 cup ice in the blender.  YUMMY tastes sinful with out any guilt!

Wow... sounds so delicious!  And prior to surgery, Italian Sweet Cream was my creamer.  Happy, happy, happy about the SF... must go find... tomorrow, LOL!

The White Russian sounds absolutely delish!
