Prayers for a new job...

I have been working for 3 months with a start up..but a job came open at the hospital near me that has recently started doing bariatric surgery (mainly and exclusively lapband).  I applied for it because it's the unit secretary, though i don't have alot of hospital experience except when I volunteered as a candystriper in high school (wanted to be a nurse).  Long story but i ended up in banking. 

I wrote a cover letter simply explaining my reason for applying and having gastric bypass....how I see it as a wonderful opportunity.  Just hoping to get a call for an interview! I have a long ways to go still but atleast i'm no longer a walking health liability.  

Think I may have a chance?

Best wishes for you. I think it would be great if the people at the bariatric offices were people who have had the surgery so they can be better equipped to answer questions and be more compassionate about the process.

of course u have a chance. good luck! i just left my job of 7 years and am starting tomorrow at a new job in a hospital as well. im very excited of the potential for growth. this surgery gave me the confidence to do that. i have never worked in a hospital before either.
