What is wrong with my new attitude

I have noticed the last week or so that I'm getting a big head. I'm thinking I look so good and comparing myself with others a LOT! I will look at someone and think or even say to someone, am I as big as her? Or gosh s&h is big! When I used to be bigger than that! I feel ashamed. Why am I thinking like this. This new attitude has got to go.

I agree....it does have to go. If you forget where you come from, you are bound to return.

Is it a  judgmental thing?  Or is it just getting used to your new size by figuring out where you stand in relation to others?  And who are you saying those things to?  I don't think it's a problem if you're comparing yourself to people in your head, or even discussing it with certain people that understand, if it's about getting used to your new size.  But if you're going around pointing out to lots of people who is big, that would be pretty rude.

Noooo I don't say it to people! One time I asked my mom if I was as big as this lady that's our friend. I. Not putting people down really, I am comparing myself a lot though.

Is it really a problem then?  I mean, I'm not in your head so I don't know if it's a bad attitude or if it's just a way of figuring out how you fit into the world now.  Does that make sense?

I think it is me figuring out how I fit into the world now. I guess it's not a problem really. I just felt guilty. I have a lot of guilt about things I shouldn't. I don't guess it really is a problem.

Well, I think it's a good idea to think about it and figure out what it's all about.  And this is a place where you can talk about it and you don't need to feel guilty about it.

I think this type of thinking comes with the territory in varying degrees.  I have seen big women on the street and asked my friends if I was that big or if I looked like that.  For me, it was not a slam against the other person- just an honest curiosity if others saw me the same way.  I also forget sometimes what I looked like at my biggest and will see someone that reminds me and I shake my head- not at the person but at myself.  When I was big I was ashamed of myself and I do have to remind myself that not everyone thinks like me and not everyone who is big is ashamed of themselves like I was and not everyone will go to the lengths I did to lose weight but it never stopped me from wondering if that is how I looked.  Do you understand what I mean or am I just talking all crazy???  :)

Oh good.  I was afraid of offending someone.  You are seeing the world with new eyes and trying to find your new slot- it's ok to wonder.  I am almost 6 years out and I it occasionally still happens to me.
