Not sure about my cardiac clearance...
I have a surgery date of February 25th. I do have a history of heart disease - had a minor heart attack in 07 when I was 49 and got a stent. Lived a healthy life for a year and then stuck my heard in the sand the last few years as I've gained and lost 30 pounds a few times and exercised for a while.
Was so surprised when I just found out today that my nuclear stress test (taken yesterday) showed some abnormalities - As I hadn't heard the results yet and was seeing my internist today for preop stuff - he had gotten the results and immediately got on the phone with the cardiologist with me in the room. The cardiologist said he would probably pass me but would study it some more as the surgery would definitely benefit my heart with less load on it.
Why do these things happen on Friday afternoon when you can't get clear answers? Anyway, just a clear reason to get healthy! Just hope I get a chance to have the surgery!
