Denial? Anyone?

Has anyone ever been denied? If so, what was the reasoning.
Did you appeal? If so, did you get approved afterwards? How long did it take?

Yes, I was told I was too thin... well they actually said my BMI was too low. It was 62.5, so go figure?!?!? After jumping through a bunch of hoops, none of which was to participate in a pre-op diet, was approved. I had a serious co-morbidity, and needed to lose weight asap, but that didn't seem to make them move any faster. It took about 5-6 months to finally get approved. I think many companies hope to wear you down, so you'll give up. Stick to your guns, work with your surgeons office, don't give up hope, or back down!

I have a bMI of 40...and I don't have a different problem. I hope I don't get denied but if I do I'll just keep goin.
