This is a Small Multi Vitamin - can we do softgels?
I found Nature Made Mini Multi vitamins. In my quest for a small squallowable vitamin, this may just fit the bill. I'd like the vitamin gurus to check it out. ;-)

We can do soft gels, as in they won't hurt us. However, the oil in them is a fat. This particular one contains soybean oil, I think. We malabsorb fats, so that means we don't absorb vitamins in oil real well. You will definitely absorb some of it, but not all of it, and it's impossible to figure out how much.
The other thing I don't like about this multi is that it contains all beta carotene for vitamin A. Beta carotene isn't really vitamin A, our body has to convert it to vitamin A, and adults don't convert it well. Kids convert it better for some reason. But also you need lots of stomach acid to break it down for absorption, and we don't have much stomach acid after RNY. So if you use this, I would take dry vitamin A (retinol acetate or palmitate) with it.
