What could this be?

last night I had a few bites of a chicken thigh a little while after I started to have some pain in my upper side like under my ribs it feels like. It feels kind of like a sharp gas pain or pressure. Then I threw up. I also had a little pain in my shoulder as well. Also every time I eat I cant stop burping and that usually ends up making me throw up. Is this just bad gas?

The burping sounds like you are ingesting air when eating.  Chicken is difficult for some early out so it could be the chicken itself causing the pain or eating too fast or too large of a bite.

It might be a bit early for you for chicken, but that reaction sounds exactly like what happens to me when I have: eaten too fast, not chewed enough, eaten too much, or eaten something that just isn't going to sit well.Burping is the first sign of trouble - and if I don't immediately stop or slow way down, a vomiting incident may occur.

Insufficiently chewed food or too much food will put pressure on your pouch, which is located near sternum level and more toward your back than your chest, so pain just under the ribs is not unusual.
