Vitamin D
I'm wondering why you didn't get an actual number for your D level. Usually labs don't just say "greater than 100," usually they would give a number, like 142, etc. I think I would start by checking with the lab and asking why they can't give you an actual number. Because, if your D level is, say, 105, that would be just fine. If it's 200, that would be a bit high.
I certainly wouldn't cut out all your D3. Doing that will just result in deficiency. How often have you been taking the 50,000 IU D3?
You might want to check out what the vitamin D council has to say about vitamin D toxicity. It's possible to have too much but it's very unusual. They state that vitamin D toxicity is usually only seen in people taking at least 100,000 IU D3 a day, and those are people that have not had WLS. So I personally wouldn't be too concerned about it, but I would want to know your actual level.
As far as your B12, it's not dangerous for it to be that high, but you don't need it that high, either. I would personally cut back a little, but maybe not cut it in half. How much have you been taking of that?

Well, with regard to vitamin D, most post ops need at least 10,000 IU D3 daily to maintain a level of at least 80, which is what we need. Some people need more than that. I take 50,000 IU three times a week, which works out to about 28,000 IU daily, to maintain a level around 100. Now, this is not medical advice, this is just what I would do. I would cut the D3 back to maybe three times a week and find out where to get your level checked that you can get an actual number. Maybe different labs give the results differently.
For the B12, I'd go back to either one or two of those 500 mcg a day. I might actually alternate, do two Monday, one Tues, two Wed, etc.

Thanks Kelly! I did look up the Vit D council & read all about it. Yeah I don't want to give up taking the Vit D all together because that's what I did the first go round & it was low. I will either take it 2 or 3 times a week I think. The B12 I think I will cut back to 2 a day & if it's still a little high next time reduce it again. Thanks again for your suggestions & knowledge. You are a great help.
Sounds like a good plan to me.
