All About Numbers
Right Now, It seems as if it's all about number's. I am pre-op, and today is my 5 month appointment. I will have my last month appointment sometime in March.
I'll give you all number's now && then tell you what my game plan is.
Right now I weigh 242lbs. My weight at the beginning of Feb was 240, It went up to 253 and now it's at 242. I have the Mirena and it keeps me on my cycle sometimes 2 weeks or longer.
I have to be at 230lbs before insurance can be submitted.
My game plan at this point is to go on a 2 week liquid diet.
On this diet I'll be eating/drinking the following:
SF Popsicles
Low-Fat Yogurt
Water/Propel
Chicken Broth
SF Applesauce With Cinnamon
SF Jello
I was wondering if you all could tell me if you went on the 2 week diet and how much you lost?
Am I eating/drinking the right stuff?
Thanks!
What about protein on your two week liquid diet? Why no protein drinks?

To be honest, I am completely clueless on what protein to buy and what kind etc. :(
I'll second what Kelly said, you need protein. The only thing you have is yogurt and you haven't even said greek yogurt which is higher in protein.
You can't say you'll be on a liquid diet for that length of time without making sure you are giving your body what it needs to stay healthy.
Find a whey or soy isolate protein shake you like that isn't too high in sugar and add it to the list, make sure you are getting 60-100g of protein per day.
If your dr wants you on a liquid diet he should have given you a list of suggestions.
If you don't take multi's/calcium, etc you might want to start those too... and maybe a bit before the liquid to be sure it isn't all too much of a shock to your system.... Kelly is very knowledgeable about the vit and minerals.
