I go to Thursday for my initial consult with the surgeon. the Bariatric coordinator will make my appointment for the psych evaluation the nutritionist and my lab work on Thursday as well. I am nervous. what question should I be asking? I already have my letter of medical necessity for my primary doctor. . and I also called our insurance and they do cover gastric bypass 100 percent. I'm wondering how long it's going to take to get my surgery date?

May I ask what insurance you have that pays 100%?  That is AWESOME! I mean we have CIGNA and it will pay 80% after deductible but WOW!

My husband works for UPS, they pay for our Insurance and we have no deductible as long as it is a PPO provider. It is BCBS out of Illinois ... Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page.

I have BCBS and they're covering the surgery too. However, I am responsible for a hospital copay of $250 for each night I spend in the hospital.

We have Tricare and they cover everything but the nut. I have to pay 150 to her for the three visits that are required by my surgeon. I just went to my initial consult last week. With all the appointments I have I will not get those completed until the first week of May....then it's off to the insurance. So who knows how long!

My surgeon also requires a visit to physical therapy and for me she is requiring a sleep study...because I'm always tired and get morning headaches frequently. So that's another wait! :)
