Hypoglycemia

I am Hypoglycemic and Anemic (I've had 2 blood transfusions) as well and have been for at least 4 years that I know of there isn't much you have to do other than watch what you eat, if you start getting sweaty and dizzy feeling,I have blackout seconds when I stand up to fast, and I can't stand in a hot shower to long or I feel like I'm going to pass out, I some times get anxious, and usually I feel sleepy after I crash (but that usually something a little nap takes care of \, you need to make sure you test your blood to see how low you are and then you can judge how much you need to eat to get your sugar back up and eat a little bit see if you feel better, cause if you eat to much then you can cause your blood sugar to spike and crash again I have managed to do that to myself a few times(only cause I felt like I was starving and wanted what ever I could stuff in my face), I do keep glycol tablets with me in case I don't have a snack, I have, crashes while I'm sleeping I wake up in a pool of sweat I feel like I just got out of the shower I'm so drenched, if you learn your signs of how you feel when you start getting low blood sugar you can usually fix it before you crash and it's defiantly nothing to be to worried over, it just makes you pay attention to how your body is feeling at any given moment

I am 2 years post op RNY and these symptoms have been happening to me. I am seeing my PCP in Boston this monday and then again on Thursday. For the longest time I thought something was wrong with me and that my health was slowly declining. Now after coming back here and seeking out to see if others have had this happen after surgery... I know that I am not alone. Make sure you make an appointment with your doctor and make an appointment to see the dietician. As well as your surgeon. Keep up with your follow up appointments. Keep us updated on how you are doing to.
