I was thinking today about the stuff I bought to prep for surgery and there are two things is use daily.

Blender- I don't think the brand matters much, everyone seems to like what they get

But these I use every time I eat anything at all. They are the perfect size! I do reuse them so suspect the package will last a very long time, even if I toss them if I am having lunch not at home.

My favorite things are the small shakes that you shake by hand with the metal ball.  Plus, I did buy appetizer spoons and forks at Ross and used those and still do!  I also love my SF favored syrups to add to my protein powder.

Great idea! I bought some 3 oz portion cups and lids, that make taking things with me a little more convenient, and measured.

I am 2 years out now and bought SO much in anticipation- I was going to have everything I could possibly need!

My number one thing (2 that go hand in hand) is my shaker cup for my protein and a baby food formula travel container for my protein powder. I keep it in my gym bag and mix right there as soon as I'm done and each one holds 3 servings perfectly :)

Another thing I am glad I bought was Syntrax Nectar protein. I know your taste changes a lot through your post op steps but having a protein that mixes with water is good to have on hand. Don't know about any of you but chocolate, strawberry and peanut butter is NOT good mixed with water :P I think I appreciate this now further out because I am so ungodly sick of thick protein shakes. I just want to drink the thing and be done with it! To this day I still have a nice big gourmet smoothie in the morning for breakfast though- spinach, frui****er, protein, coconut oil, flax... yum! :) (Also- unflavored is great to have on hand! I mix those into my food, like oatmeal. I am very sensitive and cant have plain carbs or my blood sugar drops like a rock and I get sick. Mixing protein prevents this)

Small packages for food are great, too! :) Even when I was early out I most often had a good appetite still. I didn't "forget" about food until around a year out and it was unappetizing. So I kept the little 3 oz or so containers of snacks with me all the time because I would get those pesky hunger headaches whether I WANTED to eat or not. Keeps portions under control! I can eat a large amount of food now for someone who had RNY so I have gone back to these containers to keep myself under control and remind myself of what I NEED not what I WANT
