Does this sound normal?

My surgeon does NOT require any sort of pre op diet prior to surgery. He just asks that I have nothing to eat or drink after midnite the night before surgery. Has anyone else had this same sort of guideline ?

Every surgeon is different and some require a pre op diet and others don't. This will be your "normal".

I had a 2 day liquid diet but not a 0 day liquid diet. Lucky you.

Mine was almost the same. I could have a regular breakfast the day before, then full liquids for the rest of the day and then nothing after midnight. Good luck!

My doctor did not require a pre-surgery diet. I think that is very normal.

I had no preop diet either , just nothing after midnight the night before.

I had no pre op diet either. Nothing after midnight and I had to drink some nasty clear stuff to clean me out.

This is the same as my surgeon. Everything went well, no complications.

My sister had RNY 10 yrs ago, had 4 weeks of liquids. Mom had RNY 5 or 6 yrs ago, had nothing after midnight the night b4. My surgeon required two days of liquids. Each is different.

I had to do a two week liquid diet before my surgery.
