Does this sound normal?

I had to do a 2 week liquid diet before surgery to help shrink my liver. I lasted a week before I asked the surgeon if I could have something to eat. He said that I could eat protein for one meal. I had a small piece of chicken and a salad.

The day before surgery I could only have clear liquids and I had to drink magnesium citrate to cleanse out my colon.

I do not have to do a pre-op diet either. All my surgeon requires is drinking clear liquids the day before and a bowel prep( liquid magnesium citrate). I can't have anything to drink or eat after 12 midnight.

Mine was exactly the same as yours!

No pre-op diet except clear liquids the day before surgery and nothing after midnight.
