Starting a new anti-depressant tomorrow

So after my PCP added Wellbutrin 150 mg to my Celexa 40 mg I noticed I was more irratable & snappy. My PCP decided that it was time to change to a different anti-depressant. I had been on Celexa for 13 years, but he said they just in the past year have been finding out that Celexa is having a lot of drug interactions. So after wheening myself off Celexa this past week, which by the way I can really tell the difference that it's not in my system as it has been. I will be starting Prozac 20mg with the Wellbutrin 150mg tomorrow. I really hope this combo does well for me. I also hope I will now be able to sleep at night too. My PCP said that it may help with that as well since I have not slept a complete night since surgery.

Anyone taking the prozac/wellbutrin combo? Or have taken the combo? Would like to hear from you with your experiences with it.

I take 20mg of Prozac and 300mg of Wellbutrin, plus Ativan when I have anxiety/panic attacks. I've needed the Ativan less often since my doc upped my Prozac from 10mg to 20mg. This combination is working well for me. Hope it works for you, too!

Make sure your Wellbutrin is not the XR kind. I take it 3 times a day since we can't do extended release.

I take the Prozac /Wellbutrin combo. 60 of Prozac, 300 of Wellbutrin. After several adjustments on the dosages I feel it's a great combination. Been on it over 2 years now. Good luck to you.

I was only on 125 mg of Welbutrin until about 2 months ago.  I was so irritable that I had to ask my doctor what was wrong with me and she changed the dosage to 300 mg a day.  Now I have to take it 3 times a day but I'm not barking at everyone.  I think this medication has something to do with the little bit of confidence I have gained again.  Good luck, I hope yours works just as well.
