I think i have been eating right.... if not under. I am 19 days post-op RNY and my weight has been pretty stalled since like 16 days post-op. I have bounced between 282-283 and it's kind of frustrating and i know it can be normal but it sometimes makes me think i am doing something wrong. I've been eating like 3tbsp pureed chicken for lunch and 1 scrambled egg and 1 tbsp of cottage cheese for dinner. In between i have like 3 tbsp fat free sugar free pudding or a SF popsicle or even a little chicken broth or something.. my calories really don't hit over 500 a day though ever.

Someone please tell me this is normal??? In a better note i've been able to finally do 2 protein shakes and some of my fluids almost all so that is good! Only took 18 days or so lol

I lost 7 pounds the first week post op and 6 pounds the second week post op... this week so far only a pound or two.

I lost 16 pounds my first two weeks post-op, on liquids, then moved to purée. I stalled and didn't lose anything for almost two weeks. I am now almost 6 weeks post- opt and lost only 7 more pounds. I have found to get the scale to move I had to up my protein and walk at least 20 min on treadmill. I think our bodies are in shock and are balancing out! I go to my 6 week apt tomorrow, so hopefully my surgeon thinks I am on track! Hang in there every pound lost is a Victory!!!

Blessings!

I'll be at week 4 in 3 days and my weight has stalled since a week ago. I know I don't eat more than 600 calories if that and drink 60g of protien and at least 40 oz of water. Since surgery (Feb 26 2013) I've lost 14 pounds. After my 2 week appointment (Mar 13) doc said to go straight to solid foods no restrictions. I've been eating mostly plant based foods and just had some fish yesterday. I have NO desire to east pork, chicken or beef. I'm really worried.

You don't stall 19 days post op and you might not loss wheight every week I didn't a stall is more like a month with no wheight loss I went through this with my mom she's 4 years out and I'm 2 months out you'll be fine just do what your plan says and you'll lose wheight

I agree here. It is generally considered a stall when a month or more has gone by without change. I will be 21 days post op tomorrow, and I too have noticed no change this week, but it's normal. Give your body the time it needs to heal, the scale will move. Concentrate on your protein and let your body handle the rest.
