I have been doing very well for the most part but as the days go by i notice new challenges. The last 2 days my stomach went from numb from about 5 days post-op on and now i am feeling things all over again... bloated, heartburn in the chest, just overall my stomach is feeling like it did a few days post op when i first started to drink. Normally i can a scrambled egg and 2 tbsp cottage cheese today i could barely get down 1/2 of this and i got the hiccups. This afternoon i had bought vitamin water zero took like 5 sips and not even 15 minutes later i suffered through 30 minutes of nausea and fatigue and had to take my zofran. How the heck did vitamin water zero not agree with me?? I've had Truvia before no problem and that's what it is sweetened with.. otherwise i had just the half of scrambled egg with cottage cheese.

Are these stomach feelings and nausea normal coming back almost 3 weeks post-op i put a call into my nutritionist just in case but i don't understand why i am having stomach upset, sporadic nausea, and heartburn type pain.. constant hiccups too. Please tell me i am not alone in this. I am still trying to understand my new pouch here and thought i did somewhat and now feel lost all over again.... things should be going forward and getting better not worse right? I've been taking my antacid everyday as prescribed i just don't get it and was hoping someone could offer some insight??

Talk to your surgeon.  You could be developing a stricture.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

Also, a lot of people I know get hiccups when their pouch is done eating. Maybe you are putting in too much? If you are like me, you still can't feel full yet.  I agree though, I would check with the Doc.

(runny nose is also a tell tell sign you are done eating as well. I know, its weird).

I am little over 5 months out and was tolerating eggs just fine until wam...I thought I had done something to my insides, like maybe I needed x rays . Finally dawned on me it was the eggs. Not sure if this is your case, like Kelly said you might need to call your Dr.

Hope you feel better
