So I'm sort of nervous about this! Has anyone had one? Were you able to sleep well with all those electrodes stuck to your body? Also for the ladies with long hair , did they stick well??

Well it will be an adventure for sure......  Be prepared, wear some shorts and a tank top. They have to put those electrodes everywhere!  I think the ones in my head bothered me the most, and I have thick hair so I had a hell of a time getting that goo out of my hair.  Don't be nervous, just keep the goal in mind!  I had severe sleep apnea and never even knew it!  So I had 2 sleep studies, the first one to diagnose and then the one wearing a sleep mask, (make sure they offer you the new one, that is made by MEDSPA ??  I forgot the name, but I will look at mine tonight) and then measure to see if it made a difference.  Mine was like night and day, I am down 80 lbs and I still wear mine, I can tell a difference after a few days if I don't wear it.....  GOOD LUCK< you will do fine !!

I was super nervous for mine as well. It was almost impossible for me to fall asleep. But once I did it was a breeze. I had to have to go back for a 2nd one. That one was much easier because I already knew what to expect. I am glad I did it because I found out that I stop breathing 58-71 times per hour. Not good at all.

Just a bit of advice. Bring your own pillow. I did both times makes a big difference. Also bring your own blanket if you easily get cold. Or if you are one like me who sweats while sleeping bring a fan. They usually keep the rooms between 68-70.

Good luck! You will do fine

Don't worry even if you can't sleep- they deal with that on a daily basis. Don't feel bad about asking to go to the bathroom or anything because all they are doing in there is monitoring things- it isn't an inconvenience. You get a tv and stuff- I did at least and pick when you go to sleep. I only slept 2.5 hours in mine but from that they could tell that I would be fine. I was up all night, uncomfortable (I HATE sleep number beds!!!!) and the electrodes kept falling off so she had to keep waking me up too. It was quite a night- but so worth it! Nothing to worry about!

As to the head electrodes, they use a sticky paste to glue the electrodes to your head, even with long hair.  The trick to getting out the paste the next day is to RINSE with ho****er first.  As hot as you can stand it.  I leaned over the tub using a hand-held shower head to get the water really hot without the discomfort of a full body shower.  If you use shampoo right away, you'll just be rinsing and rinsing.

Editing software added asterisks to my message.  I meant to say really, really warm water.  It edited my use of hot followed by the word water.  Took me a while to figure out why.  :)
