Fluid intake question.. Please help
I hopefully will finally be cleared by my cardiologist by next monday.. They will send to my bariatric center for review and hopefully they call me to schedule surgery.. Long story.. Will tell it post op hahahah.. Anyways it has been a long road and daily surfs to this site and reading everyones posts has been nothing short of amazing!! Thanks for all the Q&A's, NSV's, and OT stories.. With that said I am ready when I get the call.. I am a person that has been drinking well over 2 gallons of water a day.. I love it.. However, About 1 month ago I started slowing down my fluid intake " Dr's Orders".. I am down to about 100 oz a day... It's not hard for me most days but after a workout I like to guzzle a big amount at once... My question is for post op, When you drink fluids, What roughly is the biggest sip you can take in oz's ?? Most of the time I slowly drink and I am fine.. I have to get used to when my mouth is dry and after a workout... Any advice would be huge!!
Thanks in advance
I was able to drink "normal" from the day I left the hospital I never sipped. My doctor said that most of us should be able to. By two weeks out I was at work outside as a wedding photographer for a 12 hour day. I caught myself taking "gulps". As long as i was careful not to let too much air in I was fine. I still can't guzzle like I could before but I can gulp down a bottle in 5 mins when I'm thirsty. 15 mins tops when I'm thirsty.
