Can i throw the scale out the window seriously?
I am 22 days post op and the scale hasn't moved but 1 pound in the last 8 days. I know a pound is a pound but the 1st week i lost 7 lbs and the 2nd week 6 lbs. I am also having some womenly problems at the moment so hoping it's jus****er weight or something. I am certainly not even close to enough to cause me not to lose weight. I have bounced between 282 and 283.8 when i weigh myself first thing in the morning.. getting discouraged i do know this is normal but when you put your body through so much and don't see the results you want everyone gets bummed i know it's not just me. I am lucky if i get 400 calories/day i live off of popsicles mostly.
Am i stuck in the 3 wk stall and typically how long does this last??
Stalls are when you don't lose anything for at least a month, but most people don't have a real stall that early out. some do, it's just not common. You'll probably go a week or two without losing, then start losing again.
And yes, you can throw the scale out the window. It would probably prevent a lot of stress.

I did not weigh daily due to this type of negative pressure. I weigh once or twice a week since the weight did not come on overnight it will not come off overnight. You will lose more at the beginning and yes your cycle comes into play.
The amount of protein and fluids you are getting in is more important. You need more than popsicles.
BE SAFE!
You can and will do this! STAY EXCITED ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED SO FAR. YOU ARE DOING FINE!
if you do - make sure the window is open!!! and that no-one is walking under it....

THROW THE SCALE OUT THE WINDOW! Do not live your life by the scale. Weigh in every two weeks or so, but definitely not daily ... the scale is not your friend. You are your friend. Keep doing what you were told to do and the weight will come off. At 22 days post-op ... you should not be living off of popsicles ... your body needs some protein.
Hang in there ... YOU can do it :)

I do love my popsicles but i have been having protein too. Typically 2 shakes/day plus i eat pureed chicken, eggs, cottage cheese, ricotta and i have pb2 in my protein shakes so ALLLL protein! =) oh and i have vanilla greek yogurt as a in between snack every so often... =) sorry should have worded that better.
I am 23 days out from surgery and have not lost anything in more than a week, but I know that is normal. Give your body some time to heal, and adjust to all of the major changes that it's making. The added stress you are putting on yourself isn't helping either. Just relax, follow your plan, and your body will start losing again when it's ready. I know it can be frustrating, but again, it's normal. Search through some older posts and you will see everyone basically goes through the same thing around three or four weeks. I'm sure that will help to put your mind at ease.
