Celebrate vitamins?
Mine doesn't require fusion but they recommended it because of the all-in-one thing. I heard that fusion does not meet the requirements of calcium we need not sure what else.
Why does your center recommend Bariatric Fusion? I'm not sure how they can require a certain brand of vitamins.
The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery recommends we get 200% of the RDA of most things daily. To get that much, you'd need to take EIGHT Bariatric Fusion a day. I know the label says to take four a day, but that only gives you half of what the ASMBS says you need.
The ASMBS also recommends 1500 to 2000 mg calcium citrate. Four Bariatric Fusion only gives you 1200 mg calcium, but only some of that is calcium citrate. The rest is calcium carbonate, which we can't absorb.
It's not that Bariatric Fusion are bad, it's just that you'd have to take eight a day in order to get enough vitamins and minerals, and some of the calcium in them can't be absorbed by RNY folks.

The problem with the all-in-ones is that you'd have to take a whole bunch of them, plus some things cannot be absorbed if taken at the same time as other things.
I take what the ASMBS recommends, along with a few other things that my labs show I need. I take:
2 multivitamins (generic equivalent of Centrum)
1500 mg calcium citrate (generic tablets, Upcal D, and occasionally Calcet creamy bites)
75 mg carbonyl iron (Sundown Perfect brand)
B12 shots
That covers the ASMBS recommendations, but I also take vitamin C with my iron to help with absorption, and vitamin D3, A and zinc because my labs show I need those.
