I have finally found a protein shake I can drink without gagging. I even called my nutritionist to make sure it was ok as my protein shake. The only other one I can stand are the eas ones. The slim fast high protein's have 20 grams of protein, 2 carbs, 2 grams of sugar, and 180 calories. I feel like I have tried 15 other ones with no success. I gagged even trying to get them down. YAYYYY for NO BAD AFTER TASTE!!! OH and also no sugar alcohols in them.

And to be on the safe side, I have to take one of the bottles to my nutritionist appointment next tuesday.

The NUT from my surgeon's office recommended the Slim Fast shakes to me -- but be careful to always get the one with 20gr protein. The packaging for the version with 10gr protein looks almost exactly the same! I like the fact that these are available in the regular grocery store and they're not as expensive as some of the other protein shakes.

I got the ones with 20 grams of protein. The only flavor I could find in my area was creamy chocolate. So when I go to my dr tomorrow(2 hours away) I will be checking there since they have all kinds of stores around that area.

Are these ready to drink or a powder you mix with milk?

I love these shakes, but have not been able to find them in the stores since just after Christmas.  They don't have them at my Vons, Walmart, or Target.  Ugh!!!

They are good. They do have more fat than your typical prot shake - but in my book - that is great.

I am not sure how do they taste - but if you have near vitamin shoppe store - try some of the following RTD

Met_RX 51 RTD
Pure protein RTD (the 35gr of protein per can)

The only one that I can stomach is the mix one (high protein). It only has 15 grams of protein in it when mixed with milk.  I will sometimes add 2 tbsp. of pb2 (peanut butter powder), which will kick it up to 20 grams.  I have also added 4 more ozs. of skim milk, which makes it 19 grams.  I didn't like the ready to drink ones but I really like the mix.  I wish I liked a higher protein drink but this will have to do for me!
