I was a soda addict before my surgery as well... What's keeping me away is knowing that Carbonation stretches your pouch, which will lead to gaining.. It's so not worth it.. You can do it!!

I love you all for understanding and offering great suggestions.

Surgery weight:  232 lbs. / Goal: 145 lbs. Height:  5'5"     Fat? Ain't nobody got time for that.

I loved Coke--REAL Coke-not Diet Coke! I just quit it cold turkey a month before surgery.  That has been the best way for me. I am still early out so fear keeps me in line a lot (fear of dumping). Now that I haven't had it in a while-I don't miss it. I still have my daily coffee--which is one of those things that I look forward to (like I used to with Coke).

What has helped me is NOT having it in the house, though. No one else in my house likes Coke. My hubby and kids will only drink soda when we go out (and they always get Dr. Pepper or Sprite-which I don't like anyway).  So it has been really helpful not seeing those beautiful red Coke cans in my fridge! hehe!

Good luck! That's a tough habit to break but you can do it!
