No I never forget I had surgery and the no drinking with a straw was idiotic in my opinion.  I have dran****d tea with a straw all my life, no burping no issues, one sip of soda and I burp like crazy.  I has surgery and exactly the same, no burping, no extra air no nothing from a straw with iced tea.  One sip of my bf's Coke Zero and bam burps.  How anyone stands soda is beyond me.

And I drink with my meals as needed, been at goal of 137 for many years, but I won't tell anyone what to do, you need to choose what is right for you.

I never forget! I am reminded any time I eat. Dr. Evanson is notorious for making tiny pouches (something I learned AFTER my surgery) I still have some pretty serious restriction going on.  It's actually a good thing. But there is nothing like setting up  meal only to be satisfied less than 1/2 way through. It's like "Wow! That's all I can eat? Cool!".

I can't see on my phone how far out you are. My surgeon also makes very small pouches. I'm sure that's why at my stage I eat much less than others.

You'll be thankful for the full sensation as you get further out.
