NSV? Maybe

So last Tuesday night I tripped and fell and sprained a muscle in my back. Meds, heat, and bed rest has been my life the past few days. I have to say, normally I would have thought about nothing but food and ate my way through recovery, but this time I concentrated on constructive activities to keep my mind (and mouth!) from using food to fight boredom. Most people wouldn't understand why this is a big deal, but I knew my OH peeps would get it!! I'm proud that the good habits are really starting to wipe out the old bad ones!

Good job!!! Huge NSV.  Congrats!!

I bead, and have been using that compulsively-in-a-good-way since surgery to keep mind and hands occupied in endeavors other than inserting items into my mouth.  Yay for healthy coping skills! :)

I'm sorry you hurt your back, that must be miserable!  Hope you're feeling better soon.  Congrats on working on coping strategies and new healthy habits - that a huge step forward.

What were some of the activities you used to keep occupied?  Could use a few suggestions myself.

In the "old days" I also would have been feeding away my misery.  Great job!

Thanks, guys!
