Mashed Potatoes, Eggs, Eggs, Mashed Potatoes.......
See this thread is a prime example of why people shouldn't come on here asking what they are allowed to eat. All plans are different. I was never told to steer completely clear of bread, crackers, and other carbs. Instead I was told to focus on protein first and choose the healthiest version of anything anything that I eat. Balance is stressed. Early out common sense told me to lay off crackers and bread because there would not be much room for anything else. My nut recommends low fat but not necessarily fat free dairy products because people have a tendency to eat too much of the fat free products because that don't trigger saity as easily as things that have a little bit of fat in them and also that human nature tends to cause people to over use fat free products because they are fat free (even though you may not realize you are doing this). Also fat is usually replaced by sugar or corn syrup. Anyway, my point, and i do have one, is to get familiarized with your own individual plan. A huge difference in my plan compared to many others on here is the volume of food i am supposed to eat. My surgeon make a pouch much smaller than most. So I am eating way less. It could be detrimental to me to take advice from folks on here about how much to eat. (months 10-12 I am only supposed to eat 6 oz food per meal)
