Sure. if you use cough drops with sugar in them, just don't use a bunch of them real close together.

To me it sounds like you may have strep throat, which is a bacterial infection for which you may need an antibiotic. Any sore throat which lasts longer than 4 days should be advised upon by a doctor. You are however welcome to try any of the many home remedies discussed here
